does it take more space in transponder if telecasted in 16:9 instead of 4:3 ???

anyhow, vh1 hd is coming... they might have decided that there is no need of sd channel in 16:9.

if once started watching hd version.... who cares about sd version...

If that is the logic, why are Nat Geo Music & People SD still in 16:9?

Can any explain and show all types of aspect ratios :huh
I only know 4.3 and 16.9
But sometimes on hd channels also black bars come

Which is that ratio

Whatever it is, they should not have changed it. It used to be perfect 16:9 with very good PQ. Now they have messed it up. :angry

They should have launched the HD version before fiddling with this. :dodgy

LET US WAIT TILL 10 HD CHANNELS ADDITION... THEY MAY CONVERT TO 4:3 ONE BY ONE...

MAY BE VH1 HD WILL BE FIRST IN LIST IN BULK HD ADDITION... SO THEY CONVERTED IT FIRST TO 4:3

(THESE WORDS ARE JUST ASSUMPTION...)

Thats the biggest problem in tatasky.however dishtv show in proper 16:9 ratio.

Vh1 SD.. 16:9 ..

VH1 is only available in HD now, SD feed shut down by brodcaster,
All are downscaling HD feed as SD,

Now the aspect ratio has been changed again. Its not proper 16:9 ratio but better than 4:3 ratio. Now the black bars are very thin. :)
