Viacom18 and Turner India, who are rivals in the
kids TV space, have entered into a content deal that will
see Turner’s kids shows like ‘The Powerpuff Girls’, ‘Ben
10′, and ‘Roll No. 21′ stream on Viacom18’s video-on-
demand (VoD) service Voot.

The move will make Voot the default go-to VoD
destination for kids content in India. The addition of
Turner bouquet will add to the 100 characters that Voot
already has.

Turner has licensed its content to Voot since it doesn’t
have its own VoD platform at this stage.

In addition to the Turner content, Voot has its in house
franchises like ‘Dora’, ‘Motu Patlu’ and ‘Spongebob’. It has
all the biggest Nick shows as well as over 7000 new
videos on the app and website.

Voot already hosts ‘Chotta Bheem’ and ‘Mighty Raju’ that
run on Turner India’s broadcast channels Cartoon Network
and Pogo, and ‘Pokemon’ that airs on Disney’s broadcast
network.
