Impressed with the way the climax scene in 'Velayudham' has shaped up, Vijay has gifted gold chains worth one sovereign each to chief technicians who had 'tirelessly' worked with him for the sequence.
"Director Jayam M Raja recently screened the climax scene for Vijay. Ilayathalapathy was so impressed and he strongly felt that it would create a big impact among the masses," say sources close to the unit.
"He immediately wanted to gift something to the technicians, without whose help such a massive climax scene would not have been possible. He ordered gold chains and personally gifted them to the heads of the various departments," they say.
Produced by Aascar Films V Ravichandran, 'Velayudham' is about a young man, who determines to bring about a change in the society. Genelia D' Souza and Hansika Motwani are the heroines and the audio launch is scheduled to take place in Madurai on August 28.
