In Tamil television what get the best TRP's are movies.

For the last few years Sun TV and Kalaignar TV were bagging all the big movies, leaving the leftovers to other channels.

Now Vijay TV has gone on an aggressive movie shopping, to get some big titles.

Vijay TV has purchased the recently released hit films like Mynaa, Chikku Bhukku and yet to be released Karthi-Tamannaah starrer Siruthai.

Chikku Bukku will be premiered on television a few weeks after its release this Pongal.Vijay TV in 2011 will be buying some more high profile film labels.

There was stiff competition to buy the rights of these films between the Tamil channels, but Vijay TV piped them to it.

Mynaa was already aired on 14th April, and regarding Siruthai already there are advertisements in Vijay TV.
