Hello everyone
It's been quite a while since i have written an article. In last few months as we all know nothing significant is happening in the world of Indian DTH.
Tata Sky trying full fill their back log by moving to Mpeg 4 as G sat 10 has failed. ADTV is sleeping, increasing price day by day,not getting new TP's.
Dish still not adding ESS HD and HD DVR. Sun and RDTV are dead long back.
D2H after an initial flury of action now in a stabilization state. They are not even bringing new technology or types of STBs or improve services such as On demand TV.
ISRO is waiting for orders from new government and lazily not adding new satellites. I wish new government will take some positive steps and boost DTH in india. All DTH have 2 common demands, 1) Allow them to use foreign satellite freely for new TPs and 2) some relaxation on tax front.
We the customers neither getting access to new channels especially international not domestic channels in HD especially regional.
Lets hope we see some action after NAMO NAMO
