Whats merit & demerit points of your used DTH & cable box?

Merit -

1. Universal Remote (old time)
2. 12 PIP
3. Whether update (selected cities)
4. Good installation.
5. Start with last time closed channel.
6. No take much time to start.
7. Great package than any other DTH.
8. Good UI.
9. Good technical specification box.
10. Can create many TP & satellite group (no fta offer)
11. 4 fovourite list divided in 20 channels group & can arrange it to 12. numbers between 1 - 80 which is great feature.
12. Mostly no need to subscribe ala carte pack cause of great basic packs.
13. D2h movie channels for free (excluding D2H cinema)
14. 65 cm dish.
15. 10 tickers (only 2 can use at a time, 8 are optional). I dont think this offer any dth right now.
16. Audio quality great.
17. Almost all channels in entertainment, movie, regional in basic pack. 18. In music pack very few not included for basic pack.
19. Highest number channels most of in all generations.

Demerit -

1. Bad quality hardware (at price of Rs. 890 :hehe)
2. heating in short time
3. No channel number display
4. Not easy language change option.
5. 4 Favourite List. 20 channels limit each.
6. Need to press exact channel number.
7. 3 x 3 fixed games.
8. No free view period for new channel recently.

I am using Old Satellite Box U1001 and it has Channel number display on box. (In standby mode, it displays Time).

Ya know the fact. I like D2H white SD too much & dont think any other Indian dth is great in design like that.

Have u old software / upgated?

5. start with home channel in new software, you are still with old one i guess.
6. dvr takes much time to start.

Merit -
1. Good Hardware & no give chance to complain to dish tv in 2.5 years.
2. Little box. Good Design.
3. Free to view for long time for most of channels.
4. Attractive offers within 3-5 days time to time.
5. Few good game to play.
6. Movie on demand demo for 20 minutes.
7. Approx channel selection for No number channel.
8. Free preview for upper pack for few times.
9. STB hangs when it get older.
10. 8 favourite list (can include all radio & tv channels).
11. Take 1-2 minutes to start (not at standing time)
12. Easy language change option.
13. Offer to tune TP as fta. MPEG - 4 / HD / 3D only audio available.


Demerit -
1. No RF out socket.
2. S/W was not good.
3. No EPG for DDD+ channels.
4. No Program search option.
5. 7 days epg available but only 2-3 days available
6. Activate any add on is equal to crime.
7. Basic package is not good as D2H rather no any dth offer that way.
8. Bad whether was cause loose DDD+ channel fast than Dish TV channel.
9. No PIP. It was few years back.
10. Little difficult way for favourite list for use.
11. No channel no. display on box.
12. Start with it's home channel.
13. Message icon irretating but most of viewer like to keep it on screen.
14. Only MPEG - 2 channel can watch.
