So, on 22/10/2024 CCI released a detailed notification on Star India - Viacom 18 merger. In that notification it was announced that kids channels Hungama TV and Super Hungama channel to be divested. The merger was expected to be completed on 18/11/2024 (Monday - Today) but it got completed 4 days prior itself on 14/11/2024 (Thursday). I naturally thought both of these channels would be shut downed today but they are still running as of the moment of this writing (18:02). When will both these channels be shut downed? I'm trying to record and archive most of these channel's contents during it's last moments. I'm also trying to capture the exact moment both of these channels go dark. Does anyone here have any insider information regarding when both these channels will be shut downed? TIA!

They will be sold to any network if not sold then they will be shut down
Not just any network bro. Zee, Sony (Culver-Max), ETV and Sun group are not allowed to buy Star-Viacom channels as these media groups already have kids channels i.e, Sony Yay!, ETV Bal Bharat, Chutti TV, Kushi TV, Kochu TV and Chintu TV. Allowing these networks to buy Hungama and Super Hungama will give them an edge in the genre. Also, buyer shouldn't have any type of relation with Reliance India Limited, Viacom 18 Limited, Star India Private Limited, Star Television Production Limited. The only potential buyers left are Warner Bros Discovery India (Cartoon Network and Pogo) and In10 (Gubbare). I'm starting to lean more to the side that these channels will more likely be shut downed 😔.
