Its been some time ever since SCV added any new channels on digital or on analog. Can we expect any good channels other than the rival channels like putiya thalaimurai which will never be added.

In analog no way.. In digital also we cannot expect. In CAS days, they years to add Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Adventure channels..

SCV is showing Mega 24X7 in their website. Aren't they giving this channel?

4 Beta

But whether Mega 24x7 is available in digital mode? Anyone having SCV digital box, please confirm..

I too heard a complaint from one of my neighbor that the STB's is malfunctioning and multiple channels that are available without issues in analogue goes missing for days much frequently on STB and now they feel that it isn't worth paying for DAS due to these issues and hence they have got back to Analogue and now they see all their channels without any disturbance, and they retain the STB so in case if it becomes costly later-on and if it is really necessary then they may start re-using it.

It seems some popular channels available without any issues in Analogue seems to be completely missing from DAS and also some of the other popular channels too are frequently going missing in DAS so some of the subscribers are switching over to Analogue as people find Analogue better as it has popular channels that most people want. Only those who want the english and sports pay channels seems to desperately want DAS.

But SCV added all Tamil channels that they provided in Analog mode to Digital mode too. They removed Puthiya Thalaimurai from both Digital an Analog. I hope no Tamil channels will be missing in Analog comparing Digital or vice-versa.

My question is, whether all the channels listed in SCV package list (including A-la-carte) are available their in Digital mode? For ex: Mega 24x7. This channel was not available earlier in analog also in digital during CAS. But they are listing this channel in A-la-carte list. So, they should have this channel in their digital transmission. At least the channel should be there with an LCN (though it is encrypted)..

This is what I want to confirm from a SCV digital set top box user...

Sure, i too wish to have replies from the users with STB.

The one i quoted above is what i heard from one of my neighbor, but they didn't specify any particular channels but said that tamil channels that they watch regularly goes missing if connected through STB and few important channels too goes missing for several days and then again they are available but the issue repeats. So they didn't pay this month DAS charge and got back to analogue.

Hope some SCV STB users clear our doubts.
