One thing that we can do is....... wait.
Let's see, what will happen..
If matches would not be streaming on private dth, then it gonna be a huge loss of BCCI.
Atleast DD Sports should air these matches on private dth and cable tv also. Star only want IPL rights because this makes huge money for them because IPL airs in prime times (or 3,4 pm) but these matches (Ind vs NZ) airing at 12pm. So that's why, broadcasters are not interested in airing these matches.
And, if I talk about Prime video, I think, most people are on work at this time and they prefer to watch these matches online.

lol Loss for BCCI?

Indirect. As if no private sports broadcaster buys TV rights then later even broadcasters in New Zealand might show less interest in buying TV rights for BCCI matches. When teams visit each others countries for cricket series then boards tend to earn Money from it and large part comes from selling TV rights so if NZ Cricket board fails to find TV broadcast partner in India but BCCI does find a TV broadcast partner in New Zealand then somehow it surely would not gel well in a cricketing relationship . Having said so OTT is the way forward for niche events but atleast when Indian Team plays in some other country then BCCI should engage in negotiations / dialogue with Indian broadcasters and concerned foreign board to arrive at mutually acceptable terms for signing of agreement for that series or would b even better if they help the 2 parties reach agreement for entire cycle of events

It is not like TV rights is not bought for NZ rights. Amazon Prime has bought both tv and digital rights and they decided to only telecast on OTT. So NZC doesnt lose any money for the same

Now sports properties are selling hot cakes than movies as Netflix will foray in to Sports live streaming soon without TV transmission. Who will responsible for transmission blockout on pay tv ? boards or Popular OTTs with huge money??

There is lot of difference between an OTT platform buying TV rights and a TV Channel / Broadcaster buying the same. So basically it is no use to a OTT platform if they have TV rights as they do not have TV Channel and TV viewers won't be able to watch the matches unless they enter syndication agreement with a current TV sports broadcaster .
Money angle is important but more important is visibility / viewership part. If there is no TV telecast on Pay TV platforms then there would negligible awareness or interest of viewers towards a series or sporting events and hence later on concerned event organizer / board will face difficulty in finding buyers for TV rights. Long term picture needs to b looked into rather than being happy that an OTT which is looking at expanding in sports business on digital platform has bought the rights

OTT and Linear both will grow and co exist. Mass content will continue to b available on both linear and digital platforms while large part of niche content will remain restricted to OTT as years pass by

If the cricket board package TV rights and Digital together like most boards do then evn if you only want to show on OTT you will buy the TV rights too so for the TV viewers it is bad but for NZC they gave it to the highest bidder what they do with it is the broadcaster headache

In newzealand spark sport also ott based streaming channel like amazon prime

Hmm. But there internet connectivity/penetration would be overall far better, most people will have access to OTT subscription and above purchasing power would b high so Spark Sport will have option to have a reach among majority of a population be it thru mobile app, smart boxes/tv etc. or may be have a tie up with some TV Channel too. Overall comparisons cannot be drawn for such a scenario between Indian and New Zealand.

There might b some FTA channel there too airing this series.

Anyways let's end this discussion i am quite hopeful that series will b available on some TV Channel in India. Wait a little more for confirmation
