After the successful run last year, Colors will once again be adding the flavour of common-people in this year’s ‘Bigg Boss’.

The show now in its eleventh season, will air from October and auditions have already been announced. Colors, CEO, Raj Nayak confirmed that plans for this year’s series in a video released on his Twitter. Participants interested to take part in the audition process are required to download Viacom18’s video-on-demand platform, Voot and upload via the platform.

‘Bigg Boss 11’ will see the return of Salman Khan, which will make it his eighth year association with the show.

The TV audience is all geared up to get a new Bigg Boss for their eleventh season. According to recent media reports, Salman Khanwill be replaced by Akshay Kumar. It is already a buzz that Khiladi Kumar will be the host of Dus Ka Dum which was earlier hosted by Salman and now the sources suggest that after Bhaijaan makes an egress from the TV show Bigg Boss, Akshay Kumar is the next most pertinent choice. It has also been noted that there is no ego clash between the two actors who will also be seen together in Karan Johar’s next as well.

There is a lot of media reportage about how Salman Khan wants to quit Bigg Boss for a long time now. He has also made it a point to claim that his stint on Bigg Boss makes his commitments towards other projects suffer losses which is why he is bent on quitting the show. However now, he is actually moving on and Akshay Kumar is being considered because of his huge fan following.

Salman was hugely admired and appreciated during his stint on the show; he was by far the best host of the TV show. It will be interesting to see whether Akshay matches up to the benchmark set by Salman and also whether the audiences like him as much as they liked Salman.

Colors confirms Salman Khan hosting ‘Bigg Boss 11’

The rumour mill has gone into overdrive again after reports emerged that Salman Khan has been replaced by Akshay Kumar as host of Colors’ hit reality show ‘Bigg Boss 11’.
Denying the speculation, a Colors spokesperson told
BizAsiaLive.com that the news was untrue and that Khan was still a part of the show. Last month, the channel had put out a call for the public to audition in this year’s series. The tweet by Colors CEO, Raj Nayak at the time had also tagged Salman Khan.

Meanwhile, Kumar has his own show starting on Star Plus later this year called ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’.
