The Hockey's Women's Champions Trophy 2012, which began on Saturday (28 January), is to be aired across South Asia by Ten Sports following the conclusion of a four year broadcast rights deal with the International Hockey Federation (FIH).

The deal with the Nimbus Communications-owned broadcaster spans this and eight other hockey tournaments, with over 50 matches, between now and 2014.

Ten Sports will broadcast selected matches from the group stages of the Women's Champions Trophy, along with the quarter finals and qualification matches, to audiences in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Afghanistan.

In addition, television audiences in Pakistan will also be able to watch most of the tournament's action from PTV, the public broadcaster.

The Women's Champions Trophy is being hosted in Rosario, Argentina until 5 February.

Eurosport 2 will provide coverage of seven group matches, three quarter finals, the semi-finals and the final for European viewers, while Sky New Zealand and Fox Australia will show the tournament down under.

Astro Supersport will air the Women's Champions Trophy in Malaysia and Indonesia.

In addition, all 24 matches of the tournament will be streamed online by FIH via livefih.tv.
