Useless burden. The effort these big broadcasters takes pandering to a crowd that will never come was used in something like providing closed captioning for Hindi GECs. Deaf and mute audience would be happy.

Adding subtitles is very good step fir catering to needs of specially abled people. All broadcasters and operators need to do is evolve a system whereby people can switch off/ on subtitles feature on their boxes. Embedding it into feed from broadcaster side should gradually be stopped
