ZEE UK to wind-up Lamhe in April

ZEE Network UK has confirmed that its new channel &TV will replace its nostalgic channel, Lamhe next month.
Lamhe, which launched with much fanfare in June 2013 has performed averagely in UK ratings. It was a channel that was positioned to showcase dramas from ZEE TV’s twenty-year old library, plus classic Bollywood movies and lifestyle, travel, cookery shows.

Since its launch, Lamhe has regularly pulled in an average 400,000 viewers per week. &TV is touted to become a bigger service by ZEE Network with its original programming including Shah Rukh Khan’s gameshow ‘India Poochega Sabse Shaana Kaun’, which will air daily at 21:00.
Lamhe ceases broadcasting on Sky Digital and Virgin Media on Wednesday 1st April before &TV launches on Monday 6th April at 19:00.
