Zindagi is set to launch a light-hearted show, ‘Aaja Sajna Miliye Juliye’, with popular actor Fawad Khan returning to play the comical role of Asghar.
Based on the modern adaptation of ‘Mirat-ul- Uroos’, the show is a roller-coaster ride of drama, romance and splashes of light-hearted comedy, to provide the daily dose of laughter and entertainment to viewers.
The show will launch on 22 June, airing at 8 pm on the channel. Khan will be seen on Zindagi for the first time in a comic avatar.
The Pakistani heartthrob has till now shown his intense side in dramatic stories like ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’, ‘Humsafar’ and ‘Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam’ on the channel. Essaying the role of Asghar, Khan plays a young man who has no ambition in life.
Asghar is an intelligent but lazy person who wants to make it big via shortcuts and shirks any work that requires him to move. His parents and peers consider him to be absolutely useless.
His favourite pastime is running after girls. He dreams of marrying into a rich family that can get him as far away from his backward village as possible.
He believes that this dream of his can come to fruition by marrying one of his uncle’s daughters Akbari (played by Sanam Baloch) or Asghari (played by Humaima Malick).
Hilarity ensues when Akbari, who is a fake and shallow girl, gets ready to marry Asghar as per her father’s wishes, just to be in her family’s good books
