Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited, formerly referred to as Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited, published a new Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) on February 13th, 2025. Culver Max Entertainment Private Limited is set to implement the updated RIO on March 14, 2025.
As per the RIO, 5 HD channels, namely Sony Entertainment Television HD (SET HD), Sony SAB HD, Sony Sports Ten 2 HD, Sony Sports Ten 3 HD, and Sony Sports Ten 5 HD, will see an increase in charges from Rs 19 to Rs 25 respectively which leads to removal of these channels from bouquets and they can now be subscribed through a la carte mode.
Additionally, 2 SD channels including Sony PAL, and Sony WAH will depart from pay channel to convert into Free-to-air (FTA) starting from March 14, 2025. As earlier reported, Sony MAX 1, a new Hindi movies channel, is scheduled to launch on April 1, 2025.
Sony MAX 1 shall be available for Rs 5 and has been added to the latest RIO. The trademark for the channel was registered on December 16, 2024. In addition to changing the prices of individual channels, Culver Max has revised the pricing of its main bouquet offerings.
