DD Free Dish to hold 49th Online E-Auction for allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots

The public broadcaster has invited applications for the allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots on a pro-rata basis for the period 10th November 2020 to 31st March 2021.

Prasar Bharat today notified the conduct of 49th online E-Auction that will be held tentatively on the afternoon of 4th November for the allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots on DD Free Dish platform.

The public broadcaster has invited applications for the allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots on a pro-rata basis for the period 10th November 2020 to 31st March 2021.

The bidding shall be open to channels of all genres with the base price starting at Rs 34.58 lakhs for the period between 10.11.2020 to 31.03.2021. Successful bidders will be required to make the payments in 3 monthly installments as per the payment schedule defined under the DD Free Dish policy guidelines.

Prasar Bharati had earlier in August held the last online e-auction for the allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots.

In September, the broadcaster had also held the 48th online e-auction for the allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish platform for a pro-rata basis starting October 1.
