DD India and DD News clean feeds to be unavailable for regional channels

Prasar Bharati on Monday in a circular stated that the availability of clean feeds of DD India and DD News for Doordarshan’s regional channels which were made available to different DD channels during the lockdown period for appropriate transmission would no longer be available.

Prasar Bharati has directed all the 24*7 DD Regional language satellite service channels including the recently converted channels namely DD Uttarakhand, DD Chhattisgarh, and DD Jharkhand to resume normal programming with immediate effect without depending on clean feeds of DD India and DD News which would not be available.

The regional language satellite service channels have been told to disseminate the information related with COVID-19, and the efforts of the government in their transmission.

Prasar Bharati has further noted that the eight limited hour State Network channels – DD Tripura, DD Mizoram, DD Hisar, DD Manipur, DD Nagaland, DD Goa, DD Meghalaya, and DD Himachal Pradesh to also continue on 24*7 basis from the respective Kendras.

The respective channels can however use the Home channel stream on DD Free Dish to ensure that no color bar is transmitted on their channels.
