Direct to Home (DTH) operator Dish TV and d2h have stopped providing Free to Air (FTA) channels on a complimentary basis to its users, starting this month.

Dish TV and d2h after the implementation of the New Tariff Order 2.0 have stopped providing FTA channels available on its platform to its subscribers on a complimentary basis.

Since the implementation of the New Tariff Order 2.0, Dish TV and d2h have changed their policy on FTA channels. Both operators now charge NCF for FTA channels. Dish TV and d2h website state, “Channel count includes all FTA + Paid Channels (except DD Channels).”

Earlier all DTH operators including Dish TV and d2h were providing FTA channels on a complimentary basis to its customers. Tata Sky, Airtel Digital TV, and Sun Direct continue to offer their customers FTA channels on their platform on a complimentary basis even after revising their NCF in compliance with NTO 2.0.

In other news, Dish TV run d2h earlier this month revised its NCF for the third time in a week. d2h is now offering three slabs based NCF for its customers. Dish TV, on the other hand, is offering two slabs based NCF system.
