DTH Performance Report for January 2025

Both Airtel Digital TV and Sun Direct added 2 new channels, followed by Tata Play with 1 new channel in January 2025.

It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators for January 2025. Starting with Airtel Digital TV, the operator added 2 new channels and 1 channel was removed from the platform. Sun Direct also added 2 new channels and 1 channel was removed from the platform. Tata Play added 1 new channel and removed 1 channel while Dish TV and D2H added 1 channel individually but removed 3 and 2 channels respectively. DD Free Dish removed 1 channel and added none.

Tata Play

The addition made by Tata Play on their platform include Tata Play Filmy Safar (Service Channel). Tata Play removed Surya Samachar from its lineup. In January 2025, Tata Play provided both Jingalala Afternoon and Saturdays Offer. Besides Jingalala offers, Tata Play launched ‘Sirf Lage Mehenga’ campaign and increased prices of Regional service channels. Tata Play added 2 channels and removed other 10 channels from Tata Play Live TV Mobile App.

Airtel Digital TV

Airtel Digital TV has made 2 new channels available namely Har Khabar and Sansad TV 1 HD while Dangal Oriya was removed from the platform. There was no Super Sunday sale provided by Airtel Digital TV for the whole January month.

Dish TV and D2H

Dish TV added Sansad TV 1 HD and removed Bflix Movies, Punjabi Hits, and Music Active (Service Channel). Dish TV launched Dish All in One Packs (TV channels + OTT apps) and provided Rs 10 cashback on 1-month recharge from my Dish TV app. Dish TV Watcho added Chana Jor & Lionsgate Play OTT app.

D2H added Sansad TV 1 HD and removed B4U Bhojpuri, and Music Active (Service Channel). D2H provided a New Year offer under which recharge D2H and get the most TV and OTT features.

Sun Direct

Sun Direct added TV5 Kannada and Sports18 2 on its platform and removed Kite Victers channel in January month. Sun Direct had no other activity during the entire month.

DD Free Dish

The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish removed Zee Punjabi from its platform. There were no channel additions made by DD Free Dish in January month.
