DTH Performance Report for March 2025

It’s time to analyze the performance of Direct-to-Home (DTH) operators for March 2025. Starting with Tata Play, the operator added 6 new channels and 3 channels were removed from the platform. Airtel Digital TV added 3 new channels and removed 1 channel. Dish TV and D2H added 2 and 4 channels individually while D2H removed 1 channel. Sun Direct also added 5 new channels. DD Free Dish removed 2 channels and added none.

Tata Play

The additions made by Tata Play on their platform include Tata Play Fancode Sports (Service Channel), Star Sports 2 Tamil HD, Star Sports 2 Telugu HD, Star Sports Khel, Guarantee News, and Zee News HD. Tata Play removed Showcase HD (Service Channel), Showcase SD (Service Channel), and Tata Play Filmy Safar (Service Channel).

In March 2025, Tata Play provided only Jingalala Saturdays offers. Besides Jingalala offers, Tata Play added 2 channels on Tata Play Live TV app.

Airtel Digital TV

Airtel Digital TV has made 3 new channels available namely Tamil Janam, Star Sports 2 Tamil HD, and Star Sports 2 Telugu HD. MBC TV was removed from Airtel Digital TV platform. There was no Super Sunday sale provided by Airtel Digital TV for the whole March month. Airtel Digital TV increased the recharge amount from Rs 150 to Rs 300 and also increased new connection and pack prices.

Dish TV and D2H

Dish TV added MTV HD and 9XM and not a single channel was removed from the platform. Dish TV increased minimum recharge from Rs 50 to 150. It made Star Sports 1 Hindi SD & HD, Star Sports 2 Hindi SD & HD available for free for TATA IPL 2025. Dish TV Watcho partnered with Cloud Walker to bring smarter, seamless entertainment. It also launched cricket season plans for TATA IPL 2025 along with predict & win watcho discount vouchers worth Rs 150 & match tickets contest.

D2H added Star Sports Khel, Star Sports 2 Tamil HD, Star Sports 2 Telugu HD and Colors Tamil HD and removed India Daily Live. It made Star Sports 1 Hindi SD & HD, Star Sports 2 Hindi SD & HD available for free for TATA IPL 2025 and launched predict & win watcho discount vouchers worth Rs 150 & match tickets contest.

Sun Direct

Sun Direct added Star Sports Khel, Star Sports 2 Tamil HD, Colors Cineplex Bollywood, and Star 4K on its platform and no channel was removed during March month. Sun Direct had no other activity during the entire month.

DD Free Dish

The state-owned, Free-to-air satellite television provider DD Free Dish removed Star Sports Khel and DD Tamil HD from its platform. There were no channel additions made by DD Free Dish in March month.
