Kalki TV, News World India, and 6 other Satellite TV licenses cancelled by MIB
All channels dropped on September 29th from the database with the reason for cancellation given as ‘Not required’.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) weeks after cancelling 2 satellite TV licenses, has dropped another 8 licenses from its permitted private satellite TV channels database increasing the number of cancelled channels to 352.
All the 8 licenses namely Kalki TV, News World India, Vaa Movies, Day N Night News, Buland News Samachar Plus, Samachar Plus Rajasthan, Xclusive TV and HNN 24×7 have been dropped on September 29th from the database with the reason for cancellation given as ‘Not required’.

Out of these 5 channels are from YPT Entertainment House and one channel each from JSK Multi Productions, F7 Broadcast and Angel Admark. Vaa Movies was a Hindi movie channel, Kalki TV was Kannada non-news and Buland News Samachar Plus, Samachar Plus Rajasthan, News World India, HNN 24×7 are Hindi news channels.
Recently, on September 3rd, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting had also cancelled ZEEL’s Zee Rang (non-news category) because it was surrendered by the company and on September 18th license of Hindi infotainment channel Living Travelz was cancelled.
