Pay broadcaster Lex Sportel Vision yesterday in a letter to distribution platform operators (DPOs) informed the temporary suspension of ‘1SPORTS’ in India by 31st March, 2021. The operationalization and broadcast of its sports TV channel is being suspended on the management’s call.
Lex Sportel Vision is the downlink license holder of the ‘1SPORTS’ channel as granted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB).
“Hence until further notice the said channel will no longer be available for downlink to DPOS (Distribution Platform Operuters) from 00 Hours, April 1, 2021. The management as per due process & directives has already intimated the same to appropriate Govt. of India bodies and other relevant regulatory authorities. You may kindly take note of the same and duly inform your subscribers with immediate effect. We take this opportunity to thank you for supporting us. We value the faith that you had reposed in our team and our channel,” said Lex Sportel Vision in its notice.
