MIB cancels Surbhi Diginet, Thulasis Technology, Sri Laxmi Local Cable TV & Yadav Cable MSO license last month

MIB cancels 4 MSO registrations in June 2022 due to surrender of MSO registration and violation of MSO registration act.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently cancelled the MSO registrations of 4 MSOs namely Surbhi Diginet, Thulasis Technology Private Limited, Sri Laxmi Local Cable TV, and Yadav Cable in June 2022.

Madhya Pradesh-based Surbhi Diginet surrendered its MSO registration vide letter dated 11th October 2019. MIB has now cancelled the MSO registration on 8th June 2022.

Tamil Nadu-based Thulasis Technology’s MSO registration has been cancelled by MIB due to a violation of the terms and conditions of the MSO registration act. The MSO registration was cancelled on 23rd June 2022.

Telangana-based Sri Laxmi Local Cable TV’s MSO registration has been cancelled by MIB due to a violation of the terms and conditions of the MSO registration act. The MSO registration was cancelled on 23rd June 2022.

Lastly, Gujarat-based Yadav Cable surrendered its MSO registration vide letter dated 25th February 2019. MIB has now cancelled the MSO registration on 23rd June 2022.

As of 4th July 2022, the list of MSOs whose registration has been cancelled MIB and the companies whose MSO applications have been rejected/closed stood at 156.
