The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) granted fresh MSO registration to Infotainment Service and Communications Private Limited in the month of April 2022. The Ministry issued only one fresh MSO registration during the month.
The Manipur based company has been granted MSO registration vide MSO registration number 45009/49/2021-DAS. Infotainment Service & Communications Private Limited was issued the MSO registration on 21st April 2022. The MSO registration will be valid up to 20th April 2032.
The total number of MSOs registered with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) as of 30th April 2022 is 1781. All registered MSOs unless indicated in the registration order specifically can operate anywhere in India.
The Ministry had earlier granted fresh MSO registrations to 12 companies during February-March 2022 period namely Asiasat Channel and Consultancy India, Assistive Netspeed Technologies, SSCN Digital TV and Broadband, Raaga Communication, Digital Fusion Network, Grand Gumber Network, Swastika, Ganapati Digital Network, Inishia Media, Sai Namo Digital Cable Network (OPC), Dainik Savera News and Media Network, and SGRA Satellite Cable Network.
