MIB renames Vijay Music TV license as Vijay Takkar
Vijay Music TV license makes way for Vijay Takkar as per MIB’s permitted satellite TV channels database.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) recently renamed Asianet Star Communications Private Limited’s existing satellite TV channel license ‘Vijay Music’, paving the way for ‘Vijay Takkar’. The Ministry has publicly updated its permitted satellite TV channel database by renaming the TV license.
Asianet Star Communications Private Limited was initially granted ‘Vijay Music’ TV license on 13th May 2019. The ‘Non-News and Current Affairs’ TV license is permitted to broadcast in all Indian scheduled languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Dogri, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Konkani, Maithili, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Sanskrit, Santhali, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Malayalam.

The TV license has uplinking and downlinking permission and operates from Asiasat-7, a foreign satellite. Star Television Productions Limited recently filed ‘Vijay Takkar’ trademark with IPIndia on 20th April 2022.
