NDTV Group on Monday in a BSE filing informed the stock exchange that it would end the pay cut for all employees who had took a pay cut between 10-20 per cent effective 1st August, 2020.

The broadcaster had earlier implemented the pay cut as a response to the economic uncertainties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. NDTV had earlier implemented a pay cut between 10-40% for employees earning above Rs 50,000 per month. Those earning Rs 50,000 or below had been exempted.

NDTV after a review has decided that the existing pay cuts shall continue through July 1, 2020, but effective August 1, 2020, NDTV Group will cease the pay cut for all employees who took a pay cut between 10-20 per cent.

In a separate BSE filing in June, NDTV had stated that the impact of lower advertising revenue due to COVID-19 had been offset by the cost cutting measures implemented by the company and its special weekend sponsored programming that has been newly introduced by NDTV.
