Chennai DAS Updates.

i believe it is for U-17 world cup, Once it's over, they will change to TEN-1

Yes, one think what you've been telling for a long is coming true. 3month, 6 month or even 1 year or even more, DAS may not ever happen and Aanlogue will always be there in Chennai.

VK Digital Analogue Updates - 23 Oct 2017

None IN

VK HD STB Info Channel OUT

--

VK Analogue operates with mass blank slots, fewer Tamil & English Channels.

May be its time they call off Analogue and focus on DAS as they have excellent DAS packs and a proper approach Chennai subscribers would be more than happy to switch over

Just checked with my friend house, the New STBs given by SCV does have a slot for the Access card but there is nothing there on that slot, currently we are just receiving all the channels without any packs. Looks like STB Is activated differently through serial number or somthing without a access card. MY STB is having a card and the new one dont have it.

The STB is now becoming just a device to decrypt the channels and they are trying to have just 2 packs,
  1. SD pack with all SD channels at Rs 200 - 250
  2. HD Pack with all SD & HD channels Rs 300 - 350
Those who have SD STB will pay for SD pack and those with HD STB will pay for HD pack. No A-La-Carte, Add-on or whatsoever.

Once everything sets, slowly all other regional (mostly hindi) popular pay channels will be moved to HD pack and users need to get HD pack to watch those.

[This is what i was saying repeatedly for several years, Chennai being a Metro City will have max 3 types of users, Very Few Tamil only Basic, Standard All SD users & HD users so why multiple packs, addons, A-La-Carte etc].

When VK entered my LCO though he warned against purchasing STB, said there are only 2 packs, Rs 250 All SD pack & Rs 300 All HD pack so why would someone need an access card?

in a way you are right. this is how it was earlier when i was in bangalore for getting channels in digital mode you just pay for stb and get all channels no packs.

I got a new cable connection in chennai today. I was having a old SCV set top box. LCO said we can use the same and reactivate. As per him I need to pay Rs210 for Tamil pack. In SCV website its only 165. can any one confirm the tamil pack price. Also will the tamil pack have any sports channel? currently I am in analog. need to confirm LCO by OCT 31.

So SCV is taking back Chennai. So, mostly my LCO too might change MSO, lets see.... Also VK seems to be too lazy, today afternoon K TV was fully outof sync, VK seems to be just allowing that. Atleast if they had me i would be checking all channels every 30 mins and correct any issues. ;)

I think nowadays in Chennai only 2 DAS packs,

All SD pack with all SD channels &
All HD pack with with all SD & HD channels.

Donno how SCV will remove polimer channels if they have just 2 packs.

So you should be receiving all the packs for Rs 210 (Rs 165 + 30 GST + 15 LCO monthly collection fee). :)(y)
