My observation is that SD PQ is better with the AV Cable instead of HDMI Cable. Maybe I am wrong, but just guess so. SD boxes seem to give better SD PQ.

In our Technicolor HD HEVC STB, there is an option to choose resolution. Have you tried reducing below 720p, will it help in PQ of SD Channels?

Software update :)

What is your STB Software Release Version now, @Gobinaath bro? Mine was upgraded to 616 when I posted this thread.

Changes I observed:
1) STB Volume under System Settings has been optimised. Earlier, even for very low STB Volume, the TV Volume used to be very high and hence increasing the TV volume by 1 single point too used to make a large difference. Now it is optimised / calibrated properly.
2) Main Power Switch ON - not able to understand this yet. When I switch on main Power, does STB start in StandBy mode, or Active mode? Sometimes it starts, sometimes it stays on StandBy and I have to start from remote.

Must be in standby mode yet to switch off after updated will tell u later :)

Btwn if u switch off stb by remote before power off then after power on it'll be in standby mode else u directly power off without switched off by remote then stb will be active mode ;);)
