Tata Sky, Netflix enter into strategic partnership

I wish they bring Netflix via Satellite Ch instead of via broadband. :surprised:
It is possible, but user cannot choose i guess, what they show we have to watch. Like QYOU service.
A satellite channel can't give the viewer what NETFLIX as a service can give; maybe they can create a channel with previews like QYOU service. Or, a channel with curated content, with fixed schedule. But this might not be possible. A preview channel is very much a possibility.

What I hope for, is a smart STB, preferably an android STB with access to netflix by default from Tata Sky. Also, their app linking with Netflix and provide access for existing/new customers for free. Also, they may introduce dual subscription packages that include subscription to both Tata Sky and NETFLIX for discounted costs.

They can start a tatasky netflix service similar to present tatasky service channels.

Good move. But it will be just like Airtel Internet TV. Netflix contents are in 4K (not all). So I think it will be via internet. So there shouldn't be compromise in quality.

Why not when we can choose our own camera angle within a ch which is broadcasting live match or watch different ch on different STB ?

It's much cheaper for them to build just a WebOS version of Netflix app instead of creating a Whole new android STB for only one app.
