Since you mentioned normal TV, you need to first check whether it has HDMI ports and not just usb ports as Firestick connects via HDMI port.
Secondly you need a stable internet of bare minimum 2 mbps or higher the better and i suggest check for internet connection in your area who provides internet without FUP mostly local guys provide, however check within you area about the downtime of the connection, anyone with above 95% is always good without FUP.
Thirdly once you have firestick you can use jiotv app as listed by other members however note its not so smooth experience compared to mobile jiotv.
lastly its debatable to use kodi on firestick - i leave this option to you whether you want to install and use it.
