Prasar Bharati to hold 48th E-Auction for allotment of vacant MPEG-2 slots on DD Free Dish
DD Free Dish currently has 2 vacant MPEG-2 slots with Manoranjan Grand being disconnected from the platform after it failed to pay up the pending dues to DD Free Dish.

Prasar Bharati on Thursday invited applications for vacant MPEG-2 slots on the DD Free Dish DTH platform for the period from 1st October 2020 to 31st March 2021 through the 48th E-Auction process. The E-Auction will be held next week to allot the vacant MPEG-2 slots.
DD Free Dish currently has 2 vacant MPEG-2 slots with Manoranjan Grand being disconnected from the platform after it failed to pay up the pending dues to DD Free Dish.
The e-auction if needed will be held on 24th September at noon with broadcasters allowed to submit applications for the same till 11 AM on 24th September.
The successful channels will be required to arrange their own IRD box in advance DTH Earth Station, Todapur, New Delhi, to place their Channel on DD Free Dish Platform.
Apart from the 2 vacant MPEG-2 slots, DD Free Dish currently has another vacant MPEG-4 slot. ANB News, Aryan TV National, and News India 24*7 won the three vacant MPEG-4 slots on DD Free Dish in the recently concluded 47th DD Free Dish E-Auction.
