Sony SAB launching a new show titled Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi se Pare
The show boasts an ensemble cast, including Riya Sharma as Tara, Ishaan Dhawan as Dhruv, Narayani Shashtri as Rani Kanupriya (Riya’s mother) and Krishna Bharadwaj as Prince Mahaveer (Riya’s brother).

Sony SAB, a popular Indian TV channel, has announced the launch of a unique romance drama series, “Dhruv Tara – Samay Sadi se Pare”, set to premiere on February 20, 2023. This new show tells a compelling love story that follows the journey of two characters, Dhruv and Tara, who have different perspectives and belong to different eras separated by 400 years.
The series is set to air every Monday to Saturday at 8 PM on Sony SAB. According to Neeraj Vyas, Business Head of Sony SAB, “Dhruv Tara is a story, unlike anything Indian television has seen until now. It is stories like these that we want to be known for.”
“Dhruv Tara” features Dhruv, a skilled neurosurgeon in the present day, and Tara, a princess from the 17th century. As per the show’s premise, with her kingdom’s future resting on her brother’s well-being, who is gripped with a serious ailment, Tara time travels to find a cure and ends up meeting Dhruv.
The series is set to transport viewers to a world of romance, capturing the essence of true love across centuries as Tara takes a journey from the 17th century to the present day. The show boasts an ensemble cast, including Riya Sharma as Tara, Ishaan Dhawan as Dhruv, Narayani Shashtri as Rani Kanupriya (Riya’s mother), Krishna Bharadwaj as Prince Mahaveer (Riya’s brother), and others.
Producer duo Shashi and Sumeet Mittal of Shashi Sumeet Productions expressed their excitement about the series, saying, “Dhruv Tara has the soul of an ancient romantic poem set in the modern era. We have put in special care not only in creating an interesting set-up for the story but also in crafting characters that people will remember for a long time to come.”
The actors Ishaan Dhawan, who plays Dhruv, and Riya Sharma, who essays Tara, both expressed their enthusiasm about their roles. Dhawan said, “Playing Dhruv has been an incredible journey for me,” and Sharma added, “Playing Tara helped me understand the beauty of what life had to offer in the 17th century.”
