Tata Play launches Secure+ in association with Google

Tata Play joins hands with Google to launch Secure and Secure+. The service is initially available in select regions across the country.

Content distribution platform Tata Play today announced the launch of Tata Play Secure and Tata Play Secure+. The new proposition will provide a safe home to its subscribers and also paves the company’s entry into Home Security Solutions.

Tata Play has collaborated with Google to bring to India the Google Nest security camera for its subscribers. Tata Play Secure+ is a bundled service that includes battery-powered Google Nest Cam, an annual Nest Aware subscription, and a Google Nest Mini.

Nest Cam offers advanced features including person/animal/vehicle alerts, on-device processing, two way communication via built-in microphone and speaker, weather resistance and more.

Nest Cam is battery-powered enabling the flexibility to be placed in convenient locations and the ability to record even in the event of a power or Wi-Fi outage. The differentiating features of Tata Play Secure+ comprise Nest Aware features such as familiar face detection and 30/60 day event video history.

The installation and maintenance services, after sales and customer care will be managed by Tata Play. The first phase of the launch will see the offering available to Tata Play subscribers in 10+ cities including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, and Jaipur. The Nest Aware service is sold with Nest Cam (battery) priced at a basic plan starting at Rs 3000 and premium plan starting at Rs 5000 annually.

The existing and new Tata Play subscribers in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Delhi-NCR, Lucknow and Jaipur can visit Tata Play’s website or reach Tata Play customer care to know more about the offering.

Tata Play Secure, an alternative home security solution will be available to the subscribers starting 28th June.
