Tata Sky rejigging its packs in Bengali and Marathi market to push Star’s regional channels

Direct to Home (DTH) operator Tata Sky is in the process of rejigging of its curated packages catering to Bengali and Marathi markets to push Star India’s regional channels. Tata Sky will be swapping Star’s Hindi bouquet holdings with Star’s Bengali and Marathi bouquets to push Star’s Marathi and Bengali regional channels.

The replacement of Star’s bouquet holdings included in Tata Sky’s curated packages will however not lead to any price revision as the bouquets being swapped are of the same denomination. Star Pravah, Star Pravah HD, Star Jalsha, Jalsha Movies, Star Jalsha HD, and Jalsha Movies HD are being added into respective packages.

Star’s Value and Premium bouquet offerings in both SD and HD variants are priced at the same price point although the offerings are customized as per the region. The same price point allows Tata Sky to swap bouquets without any need to revise the pricing of the curated packages.

Star’s Hindi bouquet holdings have been swapped by Star Marathi Value, Star Marathi Premium HD, Star Marathi Premium, and Star Marathi Value HD in Marathi packs while Star’s Hindi bouquet holdings have been swapped by Star Bengali Value B, and Star Bengali Value HD B in Bengali packs.

Tata Sky has already updated few of the packages as of now while the rest are yet to implemented with the same said to be scheduled tentatively.
