Yes,After the implementation of Trai rule both Disney channel and Hungama ratings dip tremendously. As Disney was a minor network then many people didn't subscribed their packages for regulating their budget. At the same time Nick managed the rating and Sonic also raised it as they were available in Color's basic packs. Most of the people will subscribe basic packages of major networks. So one major way infront of Disney is to add atleast Disney channel in Star's basic packs across all languages. As Star has higher regional presence than Viacom surely Disney channels will get good reach as earlier. In future we can expect this action as this become inevitable for them unless they reduce ala carte rate.

Do not worry Star Ji will make sure people r aware about subscribing Disney Pack and give incentives to operators for maximum activation. Expecting Star Ji to give economical pack is like asking 5 Star Hotel to give burger at same rate that of McDonalds. It can't happen bcoz investments, brand names add up to value offered.

Only problem for Star Ji is that numbered people r opting for their premium pack thus affecting premium channel ratings. It's upto Star Ji whether to give all packs at high rate or affordable rate, both has advantages and harms. Right now their sole focus is to get max revenue from cricket. All their sports channels r busy earning money even thru repeated highlights

On a side note UTV HD channel is waste ..same few movies repeated every week....they should add more movies to their library else channel will shutdown soon ...these people have hd channel license but don't know how to use it to gain more popularity🤣

Thhoda sabar karo ji, post world cup they will revamp or restructure their hindi movie cluster. I think including UTV channels in Star portfolio means they r planning to drop UTV Brandname very soon

These broadcasters needs to start shutting down most useless movies and music channels. You got too many channels and limited library. And concentrate on educational, infotainment and lifestyle channels. It's time to launch genre specific channels like Star Crime and Zee Comedy. Urban centric GECs are also desperately needed. People are moving to OTT services because no one is serving to youth and posh audience. Premium shows could be syndicated to non Hindi speaking international audience. And Star for christ sake get your head out of cricket. Invest in in-house good entertainment production company. Balaji, Applause etc. are making dumb content since ages.

UTV HD and UTV Action Shows Same Movies At Same Time With Half To Hour Delay. Most Of Time*

Yes bhai, since last 2 or 3 weeks this new programming strategy has been adopted. Also UTV Action is airing mostly dubbed movies from China nowadays. I think they will drop the UTV brand name soon, UTV Action will continue to air Hollywood Content but from acrosd genres. Jungle Book movie is scheduled to air on this channel at upcoming 23rd June

Totally agree content on Indian television needs a complete revamp, but there's one problem. What can be done about the Indian audience, which keeps lapping up the tired and nonsensical Balaji soap operas and rejects anything new and innovative? Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya, Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Naagin, Kawach. Unfortunately, these are the fictions that rule Hindi GEC ratings, which only disincentivizes channels from experimenting further.

Sony is doing good job with historical shows. But VFX is horrible.

Brother, broadcasters should tailor content across channels based on target audience base they intend to cater. Saas Bahu dramas can continue but there r other things like Hindi Movies, English Entertainment, Sports, Infotainment which need change in approach. Also we want old cartoons back on tv.

Request u all to share feedback regularly with broadcasters or concerned people working there using relevant mediums. I do so for a long time and it has yielded good results often. Just keep in mind that ur feedback should have a balanced view and not try to disregard or overshadow others preferences while putting forward urs
