can i track Apstar 7 in big size ku band dish with c band lnbf

I heard that there is one site which will give the size of the dish required for each satellite according to the signal strength...

You can't use c band lnb for ku band.

Sorry you are wrong.

Yes, You can use C-Band LNB in a Ku-Band dish and if your dish is enough size at least 100cm+ and your region falls under satellite footprint, then you can receive many C-Band signals from Intelsat 20,Thaicom, Insat 4A, etc.

I have tried to receive Apstar 7, Intelsat 17, Measat 3, but could not signal with my 100cm Ku-Band dish as those satellite require at least 150cm dish.

See my hunting here Caught IS20@68E C-Band with 100cm offset dish

i am saying you can can't use c band lnb to track a ku band satellite,
Or a key band lnb to track c band satellite,

Not saying you can't use c band lnb on a ku dish.
Or a ku band lnb on c band dish,

It was a answer for thread posters question,
He want to track c band satellite with a ku band lnb,

How can he do that ?

Actually his question is not clear,
Apstar is a C + ku satellite,
If he want to track ku band with ku lnb then why asking question.
He didn't said what he want to track,
C band or ku band,
Only told that dish is ku band & lnb is c band,

Yes, If you analyse with a microscope, his question is not clear as you have described. But with a logical sense, he was asking "To get Apstar 7 (C-band signals) using a bigger Ku-band dish and C-Band LNB" Cheers ....:)

I want to buy c band dish to track apstar 7 for viewing channel9 bangla channel .

4 feet offset dish or 6feet prime focus which is best?

I have conical scalar ring with c lnb setup in my 2 feet ku dish .

When blind scan some tps of apstar7 found but failed to lock.

Can i modify my dish from 2 feet to 4 feet to catch failed tps.? Or should I buy 4feet offset dish or 6 feet prime focus?
