Unbelievable ,Star maa has surpassed Star Bharat and Star plus.
According to Barc
Punjabi GECs are less viewed than Tamil and Telugu news channels.
Another joke by Barc:
Leading Punjabi music channel has just 14k impressions,whereas,On Internet and Youtube, the Punjabi music genre is just next to Hindi.

T-series Punjab,alone is gonna touch 6billion views mark on youtube.

Yes, go to Hindi Movies Data and click Top 5 programmes. Movie has performed well in both rural and urban segment

You can't judge TV ratings based on popularity on social media. Firstly for Punjabi Channels viewership for Punjab, Haryana and Himachal is taken into account. Even owners of Punjabi Channels are not happy with the method devised by BARC as they are unable to increase ad revenue due to limited impression points recorded under present rules. Apart from it there are many instances of manipulation in data,, i am quite sure that this does not reflect true preference of people across genres not only due to small sample but low crdibility factor too

Sony Channels did well even after tatasky issue.Sony Aath which generally misses out in top 5 bengali mostly is in top 5 for the week.

No effect on ratings of Sony or India Network channels due to Tata Sky - Sony fiasco. Only AXN is out of Top 5 & that may be due to host of reasons, Star World is No.1 guess due to Emmy Telecast so is Star Movies. Infact Sony BBC Earth is Leader in Infotainment category despite getting dropped from Tata Sky. Now Sony can relax and let Tata Sky take its sweet time to enter fruitful negotiation else other broadcasters will also gain confidence from this which will lead to further trouble for Tata Sky. TRP Ratings are on par with what i was expecting.
