Zee Keralam is a big question? the programme lineup seems to be not sure who the target audience is?
Housewife, Men, Youth ? total lineup is so messed up. Zee promised a change hope it stands upto it.
Flowers/Surya/Mazhavil stand to be defeated in the competition but will be interesting to know how Zee tackles Asianet
 
Kannada is the only market where the market leader is resisting the assertive Zee which easily conquered Bangla market, and ousted Star to reach second spot in Tamil. Star should learn from Colors Kannada.
Just like Tamil , Even in Kannada Zee is progressing aggressively.
 
Just wondering what is Sun gona do in Marathi & Bengali markets which are well established and concurred by Zee Star & Colors.
It couldnt do much in terms of Non Tamil South channels though they have and had the edge.

It has beginners advantage that is the movie library hence Telugu and Kannada they have been able to make some mark in Movie channels but GEC they are lagging behind.

It was their first regional entry and was the re-branding of etv which already had some ratings.Ofcourse its appreciable that they could conquer the market quickly from the senior players like Udaya and Suvarna. But Viacom is giving an equal care to Colors Kannada along with Flagship colors tv inorder to keep their topspot.May be because of that their other 3 gecs are not performing well.Look at Zee,their all channels are at high race. Zee came into action more than 25 years ago, and same goes with star. Colors tv or in case viacom 18 is emerging television groups.
In kannada colors kannada (etv) came 6 years before zee hence have emotional touch same goes with etv telugu.

Kannada: undoubtedly they are into it as kannada was their first South regional market. And also brought fame to them.
Colors kannada has given importance for rural audience more than urban. As they knew rural audience sit more in front of tv more than urban.
In terms of colors super it mainly focus on as backup channel I.e some good shows are not brought to tv because of packed schedule of colors kannada.
Colors kannada cinema started being a add-free channel to promote their two GEC. Thanks to their senior etv have good collection of movies. Hence holds 2nd position.
Tamil: main problem for colors tamil is they showed dubbed shows on launch.and with no reality shows and movies. But now they are following colors kannada focusing rural audience. Hence can see major boost in them soon.
Kids & English entertainment:
Nick has conquered more than 35% market share. Colors infinity and comedy central have made leaders of English entertainment.
Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati:
They are one of the major players in Hindi and Marathi and unelected leader in Gujarati.
Music:
Mtv: leads it's way
Vh1: status good.
Bengali&oria:
God should save them
 
Zee Kannada is going to gain minimum of 30k impressions in next one month I guess with its new show (since the same story worked wonder for Zee Tamil and Telugu). Colors kananda is saturated in its schedule but Zee has many underutilized slots.Zee team is aiming for 1 lakh more impressions and they are working on it.
No weekend show of Colors Kannada cross 4.0 TVR. Once 8pm slot falls , then it will be big blow to CK.
