Star wants us to subscribe Starsports and watch it on starsports so that they can get more TRP which will help them to bring more advertisers on board, if you watch it on DD then they lose ad revenue, Sony got 1300 crore ad revenue from IPL in a single year so it's not a small negligible amount

Subscribe it on that day and remove it the next day. That way you will only pay ₹2 per match
