Hitler Didi' is returning with Season 2 soon. The first season, which launched in November 2011, featured Rati Pandey and Sumit Vats in the lead and enjoyed a successful run of two years.

The latest development on that front is that the makers of the show have finalised Manish Goplani and Sonia Balani to play the lead couple in the sequel. The cast and crew will fly to Delhi tomorrow to shoot a promo for the show. While Manish played the lead in 'Thapki Pyar Ki', Sonia became a household name as Panchi in 'Tu Mera Hero'.

Crime, mystery, drama and romance together make an entertaining script. On the same lines, Zee TV and producer Ila Bedi are all set to present their new series Detective Didi, that will star Thapki actor Manish Goplani and Tu Mera Hero fame Sonia Balani. The show will present the love tale between a street-smart detective played by Sonia, and a macho cop, Manish. The show will be completely shot in Delhi and launch in December. Ila Bedi had earlier produced Hitler Didi starring Rati Pandey for Zee TV

When we reached out to Sonia, she said, “We are in discussion about the show and can chat about it once things are finalised.” Though the title has a resemblance to Hitler Didi, producer Ila Bedi confirmed to us that the show is not a sequel but a completely new offering.

Pawan, who has earlier been part of TV shows namely Ek Tha Raja, Uttaran and others is roped in for Ila Bedi’s upcoming show Detective Didi for Zee TV.
Pawan will be seen portraying Sonia’s grandfather in the soap. He will play a very important character, a source informs that his character will have a comic streak to it.
Detective Didi will be shot in Delhi and the show will go on floors by 10 November.
