MUMBAI: Discovery Communications India’s sports channel DSport has acquired the broadcast rights of the 2018 Nidahas Trophy featuring Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka.
To be held in Sri Lanka, the 2018 Nidahas Trophy will be played from 15-30 March. The T20 tournament is being played to celebrate Sri Lanka’s 70th year of independence.
The tri-nation series will see each team play each other twice with two teams progressing to the final.
This is the second major cricket rights acquisition by DSport. Earlier, the sportscaster had acquired the broadcast rights of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018.
Launched in February 2017, DSport offers 4000+ hours of live content every year across sports like Golf, Football, Soccer (USA), Horse Racing, Motorsports, Rugby, Adventure sports, Wrestling/MMA, and ESports.
