MUMBAI: Food Food, the six-month-old food specialty channel, will soon launch in the Middle East. This will be the speciality channel's first step outside India.

The Hindi channel, a joint venture between Malaysia-based Astro All Asia Networks (Astro) and Sanjeev Kapoor's Turmeric Vision (TVPL), was launched on 24 January this year.

Confirming the news to Indiantelevision.com, FoodFood COO Karthik Lakshminarayan said, "We have signed the deals to launch the channel in the Middle East. We are a Hindi food channel and will cater to the Indian diaspora mainly."

Lakshminarayan added that there are plans to take the channel to other countries as well.

FoodFood, a complete HD channel, has Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene as its lifestyle ambassador, while promoter and celebrity chef Kapoor is the main face of the channel.
