I dont think there was such an offer by Paytm, that by paying just Rs 50, you would get Rs 300 in your balance. And even if there was one last year (2016), it would be on DDF here.

The promocodes available last year were:

EOM65: Rs 65 cashback on recharge of Rs 500. Valid twice per user
EOM30: Rs 30 cashback on recharge of Rs 250. Valid twice per user
EOM16: Rs 16 cashback on recharge of Rs 160. Valid twice per user
