Balaji Telefilms and Marinating Films have joined hands with Hungama Digital as the official digital and gaming partner for the second season of their cricket reality show Box Cricket League (BCL), which will be aired on Hindi GEC Colors.
As the official digital and gaming partner, Hungama has launched the official game of the show.
Virtually stepping into the shoes of their favourite celebrities, the official game allows fans to play challenges in their favourite team and celebrity avatar.
The game is currently available on Android in two modes—’Endless’ and ‘Challenge’.
It will be soon launched on iOS. The game is also available to DTH operators Tata Sky’s subscribers in ‘Tournament’ mode and Airtel Digital TV’s subscribers in ‘Tournament’ and ‘Challenge’ modes.
The BCL game is a side-view game that begins with the batsman ready in his stance.
The number of runs scored will depend on the timing of the shot played. In the process, players will also win coins as they win more matches, which can then be used to buy power-ups.
Speaking about the launch of the game, Hungama.com CEO Siddhartha Roy said, “We are thrilled to partner Balaji Telefilms and Marinating Films as the official digital and gaming partner for Box Cricket League.
The idea behind the game was to engage BCL fans and provide them a virtual experience by playing the game in their favourite television celebrity’s avatar.
With this game and association, we look forward to providing an amazing digital experience to both Hungama consumers and BCL fans.”
