A prominent Malayalam news channel, Indiavision has stopped transmitting news following issues with the workers and the management. What is strange is that, the official site of Indiavision has carried a statement from the journalists who work for the channel on why the transmission has been stopped. The statement says that the news team have repeatedly pointed out the wrongful tendencies the management seem to be pursuing in terms of news. They add that despite this, the management never addressed the issue.
Indiavision is the first twenty-four hours news channel from Kerala which started in 2003. The statement says that the news team played a huge part in making the channel into one of the most prominent news channels in Kerala and that the managements approach towards various issues is not tolerable.
The editorial claims that Indiavision management owes huge amount of money in the firm of Provident Funds and the like to the government. The statement also says that the news team noticed questionable corrupt relations the channel had with a public enterprise and informed the management of the same. But the statement says that the management's aversion to act against the person who was in suspicious dealings have triggered the team's decision to stay away from broadcasting news.
The channel's Editor-in-chief M P Basheer has been suspended. India Vision is Kerala's first 24*7 news channel and many renowned journalists in the state have worked with the organisation.
