The latest to bite the dust is the Indore-based ACN Digital which has issued a public notice stating that it is shutting down operations due to financial non-viability. The notice also states that the cable TV service will not be retransmitting channels three weeks from the date of publishing of the notice.
“This is to inform the cable TV customers of Madhya Pradesh that due to financial non-viability we are shutting down our operation in the state and after three weeks from today we shall not retransmit the channels being distributed by all broadcasters,” ACN Digital said in a public notice on 3 July.
