I don't want award
I want ur support
We will always support bro. Do you know.?initially I was planning to opt ap fiber net when new regime implemented by Trai , but I don't want to spend money again on new hardware so that I have stopped thinking about it. I will re consider if adtv not fulfilled my requirements in future.

Yes bro, you agree or not. Your posts feel same as jokes only. It is comedy to read hence i reacted with Haha reaction.

You can't blindly support something even if you are fan boy. Members are providing various reasons but you are not accepting as you are blinded by d2h love.

I think, after 3-4 more years you will again pissed by d2h and move towards another DTH (be it Airtel or Tata) and then yourself will laugh at these posts.
OK bro let us see what happens
I will jump away or others jump here

I think then it's time for me to end this journey with Tata Sky prematurely. It was a good one but i think i want to give preference to health over good customer service 😀 I'll just book D2h.

Go ahead, being a subscriber friendly dth they r providing all these useful channels without the need to recharge account. Also content is refreshed on regular basis. Hope that u become fitter adopting their tips and enjoy premium lifestyle after putting hard work into ur field of work or interest. D2H has such good vision to take care of most important need of any individual. :)

In current situation only two DTH in the market are best 1. Tata Sky 2 Airtel
Now If someone ask me which is best from these two, I will say without any doubt that Tata Sky is best DTH.
I have Airtel DTH and my cousin brother have Tata sky(I suggested him Tata sky to buy).
Reason why Im saying that Tata sky is best because -
1. Most Important thing is their customer service, CC, Online Portal, Online Chat all are up to date, Can add/drop channel anytime with in a few seconds, can check validity of package any time.
2. Best Quality
3. Maximum Channels
4. After TRAI Regulation, no issue of package price. Tata Sky is no more costly now.
5. Everything(System) is clear, understandable and bug free, no need to search for a third way to do anything.

Now I will talk about Airtel. Why we should buy airtel or why not -
1. After TRAI Regulation airtel is no more cheaper. Yes few months before It was cheaper and We all airtel user were happy because we were getting same quality and quantity in low price in airtel compare to Tata Sky and for that We were ready to compromise for CC, Online Portal and Other customer services. But now there is no reason to compromise ☹. So now why customer will stay with airtel, obviously he will move to Tata Sky. Price of both DTH is similar and we are getting better customer support in Tata Sky, So first choice of customer is Tata Sky now.

2. Airtel's Customer Service, Online portal is very very bad. We need to call CC to drop a channel, We need to call CC to check ARP's validity. Yes I cant check my validity on App/Self-care, yesterday asked about it to Choco bro but his solution also not worked for me, My account status on STB(My Account Option) also showing only TopUps validity, not showing my ARP validity.
Their self-care portal is not user friendly,
CC dont have any knowledge about anything.
This is the main reason that Tata Sky is better than Airtel. Otherwise everything is fine in Airtel.
So if a customer getting good customer support and services in same price then obviously he should go for Tata Sky now.

3. Now there is only one reason to buy airtel DTH is their Multi Connection Package Price.
They are charging only ₹94 NCF for Secondary Connection. On other side Tata Sky removed secondary connection policy, they will charge separate NCF for separate connection without any discount. So if someone is looking for a good multi connection DTH with lower price then without any doubt airtel is best for him. 👍👍
MtV beats HD missing bro in airtel...this was one of the primary reason why I chose tatasky over Airtel....they are adding xyz channel but not adding only Hindi HD music channel

Hi, I'll be honest TataSky is overrated now given that the online content is surpassing the young audiences of India and yet addictive too.

The majority viewership of DTH is left with the people who can't afford or don't want to sub. to online media, don't have time to watch any content or they are elderly and housewives.

Sooner or later, DTH's demand will see their downfall (at-least in the Entertainment and News Category) where Google News is much faster and more reliable. Infact, Twitter updates for the Earthquake within milliseconds as compared to News on TV.

At this downfall rate of DTH operators especially Tata if tries to sabotage their user-base with such increased prices and diverse policy changes? I can only see that it's counterparts and competition might see the rise.

Given that, JioTV is expected to be cheaper than generic DTH companies since they run on wires and not on the Satellite (cost of wire < satellite).

TV is seeing decline in sales in USA itself just for the TV purpose (stable because of console only) whereas in India, console isn't a popular thing and TV is and TV selling itself is seeing decline nowadays.

I have a friend who owns Showroom. He says that the last couple of months have been the worst period for him in the business.

1. Government's economic policies which affected the pockets of the consumer. (Affordability is hurt)
2. Government's entertainment policies (TRAI) which is again affected the pockets.
3. DTH Companies' immature policies and decisions (such as TataSky's Multi-TV removal).
4. Netflix becoming cheaper in recent days and the YouTube gaining their own Originals.

Overall, in this era, instead of TataSky pushing FireStick, they should have given the benefit of Amazon Prime Membership. (Poor Marketing)

This poll was not meant for that. The question is if it's over rated compared to other DTH brands. Your post is completely true but we're not taking online media into consideration.

I know that but I believe in knowledge more than poll.

I gave every point here which is making Tata Sky overrated and why they shouldn't be that overrated anymore given the current declining sales in DTH.

Knowledge is Power.

DTH will not go down anytime soon. Ur aware that majority people live in rural areas where fast internet is not available. No ftth, no proper lines. So people there don't want the Amazon prime , Netflix etc

DTH can be installed anywhere in the nation where as internet lines need infrastructure which is missing in rural areas

When did I say it will die? Quote it.

I think it depends on what content one is interested to watch. The shows i watch are not available on TV and having internet becomes a necessity. Most young people do not care for saas bahu crap so they move towards Netflix, OTT services. But for sports TV is definitely needed. Most streams can cause buffering or other issues which i have faced in the past. Otherwise Internet is definitely the future and no one can deny that.
