Who listens to us.... There should be a HD music channel which can show old movies songs in HD and a HD classic movie channel....whoever launches these channel will be king!
Not only earlier generation people and current generation are also preferring old songs and movies which had quality content....today's movies and songs are just dhinchak dhinchak....no story...random sequence.... impossible stunts( south Indian movies) etc...old is gold

Miss my 90's☹

Well bro honestly speaking indian market is very complex and multiple factors need to be looked into before taking decisions. Yes, old songs r popular but launching a HD channel is a costly affair and running it is another challenge considering people do not want to pay justified price for quality content. Most want things free or dirt cheap rates and expect top notch quality, it ain't happening.

Also regular hindi or regional channels do not get premium ad rates and even though u might see flurry of ads but it is needed to efficiently keep channel running. English Channels command steep ad rates, all this is bcoz agencies have such age old mindset about class or mass audience. Sony Rox HD was a recent casualty , infact Sony had to shut down Le Plex HD too bcoz they can't match clout of Star or Zee and operators don't rate them at par. Earlier Star , Zee were getting much higher amount for fixed deals but Sony always struggled to get what they much deserved. Quality Stuff is the eventual victim

Why "+" sign? "+" is usually used by HD channels.

:no2: Later MTunes launched separate SD feed. Remember SD feed having smaller logo and HD feed having large logo. We discussed about it somewhere in forum at that time.
Yes SD version launched on 2016 replacing Music Xpress channel "M Tunes SD" Started From IS20

Looks like channel will play the same songs from their library which they used to play earlier. Anyways but we honestly need a quality music channel specially HD channel.

Please someone launch HD music channel. Currently it is the most demanded genre on television.
Mtv beats HD only single Channel is available in this genre that too not available on ADTV ☹️
Missing our most fav channel Sony ROX 😭

There is one way of addressing this concern and broadcaster can easily implement it.

For HD Music or Non Cricket sports broadcaster can simply tie up with operators and launch a service channel on new LCN or adding red trigger button on original channel. They can air intended content on same without the need for investing in new channel. Incase of acquiring HD Music Content some money would be required but it can easily be absorbed by profit/revenue from other streams and anyways there is lot of money saved from discarding launch of new HD channel. Incase of sports too, Star India can add permanent service feed on SS Select Channels , there won't be any revenue loss as they will earn more from airing cricket on original channel than what football would have got. Service Channels do not require permission or licence from MIB but they cannot air ads.

Thru this all problems can be taken care off. Send across feedback to concerned broadcasters or people involved and u never know as they might adopt this strategy. :)
