how do i check remote Software version ?

To check software version
Settings=> Android Settings=>about=>remote update.
My remote version is 28.

I thought it is a Bluetooth remote,

It looks WiFi remote , speech control NOT working if stb is not connected to WiFi.

I was talking about STB reset.
But before that try this
Settings=>Advance Settings=>Application reset.
Application reset will ask for password, use 0000, it might reset all apps including remote.
And yes, it is a Wi-Fi and IR remote.

Even with remote I am not able to go to settings, Is their any way to re-set box without remote

By re-pairing remote, working fine thanks to all for your help.

Press home button for 3 sec remote will pair, see page 6 of usermanual for more details on remote pair/ unpair / reset.

Great that it's working now.
Please correct spelling in the title of the post for future references and useability of this thread.
Also by Google Android remote app you can control any Android TV box with your mobile.
In fact mobile remote app is very useful for typing on the screen.
