My short review after using my new TATA sky for 5 days.

Here I m going to give my review about tatasky as I have completed 5 days with my new TATASKY.
I moved from Airtel so my requirements were just that tatasky has more HD channels which is true. I m happy with new channels.
Another reason was that ui of airtel was same like tatasky but red and black combination makes it bad viewing so happy with new Blue color.
I have used every dth except sundirect so I just wanted to experience this one also.

But now those things which make me little bit unhappy.
1. Yesterday I was watching movie at 10 pm then I was going to sleep but movie was interesting. then I realized that I missed recording feature which was available in my airtel. I used recording feature for all biggboss season.
2. I heard a lot about pq of tatasky before buying it. but I don't get which I think about it. I got Humax HEVC box which has SD Channels pq far less than my airtel huwai HD+ box. pic gives too much blur view when object moves fastly specially on music channels. This is my view about pq when I compare both airtel which I used and tatasky which is now I m using.
Tatasky has more no. of channels even my language channels are more than airtel. Their price for HD channels is little bit high but it's OK.
My expectations r if they will add recording feature and can improve pq of SD Channels then it will be OK for me. I m using 40" Philips Full HD led tv. I hope that u will like this review . Thanks

This box produces below average picture quality i too heard. We can not blame whole TS for this. More like a STB issue.

Hope both of your issues get solved with future software update.

Hevc boxes have 2 usb ports so I think they will enable recording feature at least for this boxes.

I am using Technicolor HD stb . Sd channels picture quality like hd in most of the channels. Picture quality is varying stb to stb based on the hardware components. You can buy Technicolor stb in olx for 500 RS only.

Don't know what is the big deal to enable recording in basic stbs atleast they may got money

No Bro Wait For Future I Think Next S/W Update For New HEVC Box TS Release Software Update For HEVC Box Sure But When Not Know, Recently They Do This For Technicolor Box So My Suggestion Wait & Watch.

Yes i too observed that sd pq in tsk is slightly lower than sundirect which I was using earlier. Apart from that some positives what I felt in Tatasky are,
1. Make my hd pack, because i usually watch 2 movie channel and 3 infortainmet in hd so it is very useful for me and also flexibility to drop and add any channel in make my hd.
2.jsat offers
3.addon packs and al la carte channels are charged per day basis.
4. Audio quality is obiviously better than sun.
5. Web apps, which I think not available in hevc sun box.
